My entire time at Parsons I have been utilizing the online job board. I found it to be a very helpful resource to find internships and administrative positions at art galleries. Through the online job board numerous employers to do such things as assisting the art department at Stuff Magazine and painting dolls for FAO Schwartz have also contacted me.
I hadn't sought guidance from an advisor until I met Erica Sewell, the fine arts advisor who has done an amazing job showing me the artist opportunities that are available. Erica also organized a great Fine Arts Career Fair in which I was able to network with several organizations that offer artists residencies.
I have been fortunate enough to live out my passion without having to be a "starving artist". Since graduation, I've been in a group show and have sold several paintings. I currently show with Kravets | Wehby Gallery.
