CAREER SERVICES  CURRENT STUDENTS

Career Services offers all degree seeking Bachelors, Associates, and Masters degree students access to our services which include:

Online Job Board: Access to an online job board with over 14,000 registered employers and over 4,000 student and alumni users.

Events: Two internship fairs every year, offering students access to many high profile employers. Annual job fairs that give graduating students the opportunity to interview with prospective employers

Career Counseling: Career advisors offer one-on-one counseling on everything from fundamental job searching techniques to interview skills coaching to portfolio reviews. To make an appointment, please call the office at 212.229.8940.

Workshops: Career Services offers regular workhops on topics such as resume writing and job search techniques throughout the year and hosts panel discussions on topics ranging from Exploring Careers in Fashion Design to How to Start Your Own Business.

Online Job Board

Career Services offer a password-protected online job board. Students are eligible to use our Online Job Board if they are currently registered in one of the following degree programs: AAS, BFA, BA/BBA, MFA, MA, M.ARCH, or have received a degree from Parsons. Passwords to register online will be issued to students and alumni following resume approval. ALL STUDENTS AND ALUMNI MUST HAVE THEIR RESUMES APPROVED BY CAREER SERVICES BEFORE REGISTERING ONLINE.

Upcoming Career Services Events

Career Days are held in the spring semester and often coincide with each department's senior show. Industry employers and companies come on campus to meet individually with graduating seniors. The students have an outstanding opportunity to present their resumes and portfolios to industry professionals, to ask questions about working in their chosen fields, and to network with prospective employers. These events typically occur in April and May and dates will be announced on this site in February 2008.

Job Search Guide and Resume Writing

A well-written resume will have great impact on the success of your job or internship search. Take advantage of our career advising, workshops, and handouts on resume writing. We encourage you to seek resume writing assistance before you submit your resume for online registration approval. Let us help you present yourself at your best.
