SUMMER PROGRAMS  PARIS  PHOTOGRAPHY IN PARIS

PHOTOGRAPHY IN PARIS
July 6 - July 31

Explore the history and craft of photography while developing a personal vision against the captivating backdrop of Paris. Classes examine urban landscape, portraiture, and reportage techniques. Lectures and museum visits evoke the rich French image making history of classical photography. Participants study historical images and examine current critical issues in photography. Beginning students master the skills necessary to develop professional-quality prints, while more advanced students gain a strong sense of concept and theme in their work. Students divide their days between on-site shoots, the lab, and classroom critiques/lectures. All work is done in black and white. Students need to have a 35mm camera with manual settings.

Note: This is a mixed level class.
